Our plant is accredited with ISO 14001, the international benchmark for environmental management. Based on continuous improvement, it enables us to set targets and implement processes to identify, monitor and control environmental impacts.

Eco-Bottles
Eco-designed, new light weight bottles meet the same standards of technical and aesthetic quality as the traditional products in our range, while enjoying all the eco-friendly advantages of glass and a controlled production process.

Using light weight bottles immediately achieves savings for your company’s logistics and environmental footprint. Making a glass containers weight less could mean up to an extra pallet loaded per truck, reducing the CO2 emissions from transporting your packaged goods.

Taking weight out does not diminish the elegance of glass containers. Light weight bottles are designed to reinforce the quality perceived by the consumer and position the bottle at the high end of the aesthetic scale. For both standard and custom products across all markets, light weight bottle is a compelling new solution for adding value to products and capturing market share in Ukraine and around the world.

Saint-Gobain Packaging incorporates and promotes the 3R philosophy that underscores the main advantages of the use of glass packaging which are the full Reusablity, Returnability and Recyclability.

Eco-activity
Saint-Gobain Packaging is the member of The European Container Glass Federation (FEVE) and participates in the eco-initiative Friends of Glass, whose mission is to promote glass packaging and glass recycling. (Logo of Friends of glass)

Saint-Gobain Packaging environmental policy principles:

1. Energy economy through the progressive use of cullet.
2. Atmospheric emission reduction programme, promoting the primary measures that enable us to act on the source of contamination and secondary measures such as the installation of filters to reduce emissions.
3. Lower water consumption by recycling industrial waters, thus minimising their disposal. The use of water treatment stations in all plants.
4. Move towards the recovery of waste and the appropriate management thereof.
5. Implementation of the ISO 14001 Standard underway at all of our plants.
